It’s been a busy year for employer brand and talent acquisition teams. And at this time of year, with next year coming into view, I find it helps to have something to prompt us. Something that helps you step back and focus your efforts before the new year arrives.
That’s why I’ve put together the Year Ahead Content Planner. It’s based on an approach I use myself when I need to focus.
Four questions, one planner and a year at a glance
The planner starts with a few key questions to get clear on before you plan anything. They cover what the business needs from you next year, what’s worked this year, and what you’ve realistically got to work with.
Then it helps you map out the key moments coming up. For each one, you can note what content it needs, who it’s for, who could tell those stories, and whether you’ll make it yourselves or need a hand. If it helps with budgets, there’s space to put a rough cost against each line too.
Finally, you get to see it all as a year at a glance. That’s usually where things start to become clearer: you can see where the busy months fall, where things clash, and what to ask for.
It’s three pages you can type straight into, or print out and fill in together as a team.
